Noise Suppression / Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Sheet

Thin, Light, and Flexible Electromagnetic Countermeasure Film
The FJM series is an ultra-thin film with special conductive layer developed and mass-produced by Fujiko.
It aims to suppress unwanted electromagnetic waves (noise) generated inside electronic devices and reduce electromagnetic waves from communication, sensors, and high-frequency circuits.
A key feature is its compatibility with microwave to millimeter-wave bands, making it an EMC countermeasure material for advanced electronic devices.
Why EMC Countermeasures Are Important
Recent Changes in Electronic Devices
- High-speed communication (5G/millimeter wave)
- Circuit miniaturization and high performance
- Increased sensor use in automotive, medical, and industrial applications
Typical Problems Caused by Electromagnetic Interference
- Communication errors and reduced sensitivity
- False detection and malfunction of sensors
- EMC standard non-compliance due to radiated noise
- Reduced measurement accuracy due to radar reflected waves
Basic Structure of FJM Series
- Surface protective layer / Adhesive layer
- Optional / Can be added according to application
- Special conductive layer (resistive film)
- Non-metallic ultra-thin conductive layer
(approx. 1.7-4.0μm) - Base film
- Mainly PET film (12μm/50μm/75μm, etc.)

The FJM series has a multi-layer film structure.
This structure attenuates electromagnetic waves as heat.
Difference Between Noise Suppression and Electromagnetic Wave Absorption
The FJM series has two main applications.
① Noise Suppression Sheet
Main purpose:
Enhance radiation suppression effect through impedance matching
- Attenuate unwanted electromagnetic waves (spherical waves) generated inside electronic devices
- Suppress electromagnetic waves generated between circuits
- Countermeasures around communication cables and connectors
② Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Sheet
Main purpose:
Suppress excessive reflection and unwanted electromagnetic waves
- Attenuate electromagnetic waves in the high-frequency region
- Adjust radar sensitivity and gain
- Design possible to attenuate specific wavelength and broadband frequencies
Main Features of FJM Series
POINT 01
Broadband Compatible
(3GHz-20GHz, 20GHz and above)
Can cover up to millimeter-wave band.
Designed to accommodate future high-frequency trends.
POINT 02
High Attenuation Effect
Achieves attenuation effect of 10dB or more across a wide band, not just specific frequencies.
POINT 03
Non-metallic /
Ultra-thin Conductive Layer
Lighter and more flexible than metal foil.
Less concern about metal fatigue and resistant to thermal shock.
POINT 04
Ultra-lightweight /
Flexible
Weight reference: approx. 7g/m²
Easy to conform to curved and bent surfaces
Very easy-to-handle material for automotive and small devices.
