Business Introduction

A Converting Maker with Three Core Technologies

Fujiko's business is built on three technologies among various converting technologies: Printing, Coating,
and the accompanying finishing process (Slitting).

Value Creation Through Integration
of Three Core Technologies

Fujiko creates new value and solves customer challenges through the organic integration of three core technologies.

Business Areas Built on
Core Technologies

All of Fujiko's businesses originate from "gravure printing," a technique we have refined since our founding. We don't simply print—we apply and develop this technology to provide multifaceted solutions, from essential everyday packaging to high-performance films supporting cutting-edge industries.

01 PACKAGE

Packaging

Our strength lies in precision printing on flexible films such as polyethylene. Producing stable, high-quality multi-color printing on flexible substrates requires highly advanced technology.

Based on this technology, our packaging business pursues not only printing techniques but also detailed processing technologies such as toilet paper handle sections, flexible responses to customer requests, and extensive material selection through collaboration with material manufacturers—all to create products that closely meet our customers' needs.

Package Business

Main Application Categories

  • Packaging bags for toilet paper and kitchen towels
  • Pocket tissues
  • Individual packaging film for sanitary products
  • Masking tape
02 RELEASE MATERIALS

Release Films /
Release Papers

Our release films are produced using gravure technology to coat functional materials such as silicone instead of ink. Our greatest strength is our exceptional ability to meet "niche needs." We freely customize special features such as antistatic properties, light-blocking performance, and double-sided coating. Leveraging our packaging manufacturing expertise, we can coat not only PET but also flexible films such as PE and PP.

From pharmaceutical patches to smartphones, automobiles, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and building materials, we provide "custom-made release" tailored to the required adhesion and characteristics.

03 TRANSFER FILM

Transfer Printing Films

Transfer printing films were born from combining "design expression" refined in packaging manufacturing with "release technology" cultivated in release film production. By printing on highly stretchable transfer films, designs can be accurately fixed at targeted positions on complex curved surfaces such as automobile steering wheels.

Recently, we have focused on developing "paint-less films" that eliminate the need for post-transfer painting processes. This reduces solvent use and heating processes at customer factories while achieving environmental impact reduction and cost savings.

  • Automotive interior parts (steering wheels, seat interior panels)
04 WATER & OIL REPELLENT PAPER

Water & Oil Repellent Papers

Products with fluorine coating applied to paper and nonwoven fabrics using gravure printing technology have received high acclaim, including the Shikoku Industrial Technology Award in 2013. Fujiko's technology can fix fluorine "only on the coated surface," so it does not impair processability on the reverse side and delivers consistent performance regardless of substrate thickness.

We use environmentally friendly fluorine that does not contain PFOA for processing, and we are also actively researching next-generation non-fluorine materials for further environmental compliance.
